Kate Denson is one of the 34 Survivors shown in Dead by Daylight right now. She was introduced as the Survivor in CHAPTER 8: Curtain Call, which came out on June 12, 2018, as a Chapter DLC.
Who is Kate Denson?
Kate has always been a huge fan of music, especially how it affects those around her. Kate was able to take her passion with her when she performed for friends and admirers around the nation thanks to a voice that captured her audience’s attention right away.
She sought inspiration at home and in her favorite forest clearing. One day, while performing a new song, she heard an ominous music from a nearby cave and found a mysterious symbol as The Entity tried to pull her into its domain, but Kate refused. However, even though she escaped The Entity the first time, little did she know it would try again. One day, Kate was playing her guitar in the woods and started playing a dark tune. The forest seemed to react to her music, as the leaves and branches coalesced into The Entity and began to drag Kate into its realm again, this time leaving her guitar behind. Kate’s connection to nature and foresight enable her and other survivors to escape the Entity’s ruthless servants.
Best Kate Denson Builds in Dead by Daylight
5. Build No. 5 (Lithe, Self-care, Borrowed Time, Windows of Opportunity)
This is one of the most well-known beginner builds.
It not only aids in locating the proper loop spots and windows, but also enables you to use those windows with Lithe’s support so that you can escape the Killer more quickly and locate another loop area while your teammates are working on generators.
Another benefit that’s great for beginners is self-care because they don’t have time to search for other survivors on the map to get them cured.
If they do, they will probably be caught, so by taking care of yourself, you may recover comfortably and keep working on the goals and targets.
Build And Perks
|Lithe||After completing a fast vault, sprint for three seconds at 150% of your typical running movement pace. The Exhausted Status Effect lasts for 60/50/40 seconds when Lithe is used. Lithe is ineffective when exhausted.|
|Self-care||Unlocks the Self-Care skill, which enables you to heal at 25/30/35% of the usual healing speed without a medical kit.|
|Borrowed Time||Adds 6/8/10 seconds to the length of their Endurance Status Effect. Their Haste Status Effect lasts for an additional 10 seconds.|
|Windows of Opportunity||This opens the door to greater potential for your aura-reading skills. Within 24/28/32 meters, the auras of Pallets, Windows, and Breakable Walls are made visible to the player.|
4. Build No. 4 (Sprint Burst, Iron Will, Unbreakable, Resilience)
All of the perks help you run faster when you’re being chased by the killer.
If you have the unbreakable perk, a teammate can pick you up while the killer is distracted, letting you start the chase again with the exhaustion perk refreshed.
But if you have the perk “iron will,” chasing is much easier because the killer will have a harder time finding you because you won’t grunt in pain.
Other than that, it’s a great build for chasing and regaining health, and it’s a great way to pass the time while your teammates complete objectives and move the game forward.
Build And Perks
|Sprint Burst||When you start running, sprint for 3 seconds at 150% of your average Running Movement speed. The Exhausted Status Effect lasts for 60/50/40 seconds when Sprint Burst is used. You can’t use Sprint Burst when you’re tired.|
|Iron Will||Lowers the volume of Grunts of Pain by 25/50/75% when you are hurt. So, you can’t use Iron Will when you’re exhausted, but it doesn’t cause the Exhausted Status Effect.|
|Unbreakable||You can fully come back from the Dying State once per trial. Your rate of recovery is 25/30/35% faster.|
|Resilience||When you are in the Injured State, your Action speeds for Repairing, Healing, Sabotaging, Unhooking, Vaulting, Cleaning, Opening, and Unlocking go up by 3/6/9%.|
3. Build No. 3 (Sprint Burst, Adrenaline, Decisive Strike, Self-Care)
There are two exhaustion perks in this build, which are very useful when outrunning during chases and after finishing all the generators.
If caught by the killer, you can easily escape the killer’s grasp by using a decisive strike, which means that the build is overall targeted against the killer, to be used in chases in case of being tunneled by the killer.
The final benefit is self-care, which can be treated as an independent build in which you quietly heal yourself while continuing the hunt for the killer.
Build And Perks
|Sprint Burst||When starting to run, sprint for 3 seconds at 150% of your typical Running Movement speed. Sprint Burst exhausts for 60/50/40 seconds. Exhausted players cannot use Sprint Burst.|
|Adrenaline||After powering the Exit Gates, instantly heal one Health State and sprint at 150% of your usual Running Movement speed for 5 seconds. If disabled, adrenaline triggers and activates when liberated. Adrenaline activated against The Nightmare will rouse you from the Dream World. Adrenaline overrides Exhaustion timers, but causes Exhausted Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds.|
|Decisive Strike||For 40/50/60 seconds after being unhooked or unhooking yourself: Escape the Killer by passing a Skill Check, stunning them for 3 seconds. Stun the Killer to become the Obsession and deactivate Decisive Strike for the Trial. Conspicuous Actions Disable Decisive Strike for the Trial. The Exit Gates stop Decisive Strike. Increases the Killer’s initial Obsession probability by 100%. Only one Survivor may obsess the Killer.|
|Self-Care||Allows you to self-heal at 25/30/35 percent of regular healing speed without a Med-Kit.|
2. Build No. 2 (Lithe, Quick and Quiet, Vigil, Dance with me)
This build is very good because of its ability to heal and escape, but it doesn’t progress.
With quick and quiet and lithe, you can run through the windows very quietly without the killer noticing.
If you’re hurt, you can also hide pools of blood and scratch marks with the dance with me perk, making this a very powerful way to escape.
Last but not least, with the perk Vigil, your exhaustion goes away much faster, so you can repeat the process much faster when you’re in a chase.
Build And Perks
|Lithe||After a rushed vault, sprint for 3 seconds at 150% of your normal Running Movement speed. The Exhausted Status Effect lasts for 60/50/40 seconds when Lithe is used. When Lithe is Exhausted, it can’t be used.|
|Quick and Quiet||When you quickly jump over obstacles or hide in Lockers, you don’t make as much noise as other people. Turns off the Loud Noise Notification and the sound effects that happen when you rush to vault windows, pallets, or lockers. Quick and Quiet has a 30/25/20 second cooldown.|
|Vigil||Your rate of recovering from Blindness, Broken, Exhaustion, Exposed, Haemorrhage, Hindered, and Oblivious increases by 20/25/30%. This effect lasts for 15 seconds and affects all other Survivors within 8 meters of you.|
|Dance with me||If you vault a Window, a Pallet, or leave a Locker quickly, you won’t leave any Scratch Marks for the next 3 seconds. Dance With Me takes 60/50/40 seconds to cool down.|
1. Build No. 1 (Sprint Burst, Iron Will, Resilience, Adrenaline)
You can do a lot of things at once with this combination, like running with the killer, doing generators with the perk resilience, and, adrenaline, which lets you heal one health state and run at 150% of your normal speed.
This is useful when you’re in a chase and hurt at the end of the game and can either keep running and find the hatch or go back to camp.
This build is a lot like the stealthy kate build, but it focuses more on production and doesn’t waste time while the killer slowly kills all the other survivors.
This build makes it one of the best Kate Denson builds on this list because it works to its full potential.
Builds and Perks
|Sprint Burst||Start running with a 3-second sprint at 150% of your typical Running Movement speed. Sprint Burst exhausts for 60/50/40 seconds. Exhausted players cannot use Sprint Burst.|
|Iron Will||Reduces injured Grunts of Pain by 25%/50/75%. Iron Will cannot be utilised when exhausted but does not produce the Exhausted Status Effect.|
|Resilience||Increases Action speeds in Repairing, Healing, Sabotaging, Unhooking, Vaulting, Cleaning, Opening, and Unlocking by 3/6/9% when injured.|
Adrenaline overrides Exhaustion timers but causes Exhausted Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds.|
