He-Man Returns to Screen In First Teaser For Masters of the Universe: Revelation

He-Man lovers, it is time to get excited. He-Man has returned to the realm of Eternia in the very first Masters of the Universe: Revelation teaser, complete with a blood-bumping’80s soundtrack and medieval swords and sorcery. Netflix’s upcoming reboot of this beloved 80s animated property is shaping up to be quite promising indeed.

The He-Man series isn’t targeting a new generation. Instead, it is a love letter to the original, with the plot even following on from the conclusion of this 80s effort. And then there is the involvement of this insanely talented voice cast, headed by Supergirl’s Chris Wood.

In fact, the majority of them are seen in this brand new trailer, and you can look forward to the likes of Skeletor (brought to life by the one and only Mark Hamill), Evil-Lyn (Lena Headley), Teela (Sarah Michelle Gellar), Queen Marlena (Alicia Silverstone) and legendary Batman star Kevin Conroy as Mer-Man all turning in the series. And of course, that original Skeletor outspoken actor, Alan Oppenheimer, is also involved in the part of Moss-Man.

In the teaser, Sorceress mocks Skeletor for constantly failing to claim Castle Grayskull’s power. Regardless, Skeletor got a brand new plan. In addition, he has his familiar army of minions. In terms of the Sorceress, she has always been able to count on her winner, He-Man. However, even He-Man may be pushed to his limits this time. We can’t wait for how the story will unfold when it arrives on Netflix.

Masters of the Universe: Revelation is looking pretty exciting so much and the visuals are certainly impressive. Then again, that doesn’t come as much of a surprise given that this is really a product of Powerhouse Animation Studios, the same people who’ve brought us the likes of Castlevania and Seis Manos. In other words, it is in good hands.

And we just cannot wait to find out what he’s in store for us when Masters of the Universe: Revelation arrives on July 23rd.
