With the reveal of Ramattra, Blizzard has officially revealed the next tank that will be in Overwatch 2. As hints in the lore suggested, Ramattra is in charge of the group Null Sector. Ramattra is a Shambli monk like Zenyatta. Like Zenyatta, he no longer sees a way to peacefully fight for the rights of Omnics, so he has taken a more “pragmatic angle.” Blizzard has released a trailer that shows Ramattra’s history and where he came from.

Ramattra will make his Overwatch 2 debut on Tuesday, December 6, when Season 2 begins. Just like Kiriko, this means that the new Tank hero will be available as soon as the new season starts. With the new way to unlock characters, players will still need to get the Season 2 Battle Pass to unlock Ramattra.
Blizzard hasn’t said anything official about Ramattra’s kit, move set, or abilities. There is still more than a month until the new season of the game, which is now free-to-play. This means that more information about Ramattra is likely to come out in the next few weeks.
In a recent blog post, Blizzard said “Overwatch 2 brings with it a new 9-week Season cadence that will consistently introduce new maps, heroes, game modes, and more for players to experience. For heroes more specifically, our plan is to typically release a new hero every other season, which combined with our ongoing additions of new maps and game modes and our regular balance updates, should reward different strategies and playstyles, keeping the game fresh and dynamic for years to come.”
On December 6, Ramattra will be added to Overwatch 2, along with a bunch of new balance changes that are sure to stir up some kind of controversy. The Overwatch community will have to wait and see if the new balance makes them happy or not. We will definitely let players know about that.
