This week, Overwatch’s social media accounts hinted that on November 4, during the Overwatch League Grand Finals, we’d get our first look at a new hero. The hero’s name hasn’t been revealed yet, but players at least know when they can expect a “early look.”
Overwatch 2 came out on October 5, and it’s been a month since then. Activision Blizzard is getting ready to show off the next new hero. This new hero will come out on December 6, the same day that the second season of Overwatch 2 starts. In a stream, Overwatch 2 game director Aaron Keller said that the new hero is someone the players have seen before and that he has something to do with the new map that will also be in Season 2.
In the tweet, Blizzard didn’t say exactly when the new hero would be shown off during the Overwatch League Grand Finals, but that’s pretty typical for these kinds of teases. This will be the fourth hero added to Overwatch 2 since it came out. It came out in early October with Sojourn and Junker Queen as the first characters. Junker Queen had been hinted at in overwatch lore many times, but this was the first time she could be played. Kiriko was the next new hero. She was also part of the game’s launch, but she couldn’t be used until the battle pass was unlocked.
